A little about me

My Story

I have always been intrigued by alternative therapies, and my body has always responded better to alternative therapies than conventional medicine, but if you'd told me 15 years ago that I would be a Reiki Master (both human and Equine) I would have laughed at you!

I have three adult children of whom I am very proud. While they were growing up, I was lucky enough to be able to stay at home with them, and on a voluntary basis ran a Surrey based Rehabilitation Centre in conjunction with an equine charity situated in Wales for old and abused horses. Horses came to me to either recover in both their body and minds, and then to be rehomed to loving homes, or to spend the remainder of their days in peace and comfort.

When I returned to work, I have spent most of my working life in education, supporting children with special needs, using my BSc (Hons) in Psychology and my MEd in Special Education: Autism to good effect.  I still work with a young man close to my heart who has autism and many other co-morbidities

Reiki came into my life just after a time of trauma. In its magical and gentle way, Reiki empowered me to 'find myself' again. As I have learnt more, practiced more and allowed myself to trust in what I can do, I now appreciate just how blessed and lucky I am to share Reiki with people and animals on a daily basis.

I have had dogs all my life, and I currently have three rescue dogs, all of whom have had trauma in their lives. I try to offer them a space where they feel safe and loved.

I love learning and am constantly expanding my knowledge and Reiki offerings. Having my own small business makes me proud of myself, and what I have achieved, but the most joy is brought to me when clients trust me to support them in their healing.
