Reiki in Water

Well this is something just a little bit different!

I have a 12ft hydropool behind my Reiki space, and the pool regularly 'joins in' with sessions - it'll start something just at the time that my client is having a big energy shift. Which made me think about offering Reiki actually in the pool.

And it's no surprise to know that it's something very different, powerful and rather beautiful.

If you're a 'Reiki pro', then this may be a nice change for you to exoerience.

What is it?

Simply, Reiki being offered in water!

The hydropool is heated to 35 degrees, so it's warm, but not too warm.

I will be wearing a swimming costume with shorts and t-shirt over. I would suggest that you wear someting similar, but it's entirely up to you and how you feel comfortable.

Being in water, the energy travels around you in a way it can't out of water. This means that I don't need to move my hands as much, and I've found that actually having my hands on your back is the best place....and then feet as the session comes to an end.

Sessions last between 30 and 40 minutes. You will know when you've had enough

(or when your fingers start going wrinkly!)

These sessions are for female, regular Reiki clients only. They can be quite powerful, and I need to be sure that you feel comfortable with me in close proximity, and that you will feel comfortable enough to let me know when you are ready for the session to end.

Is it for me?

If you're a Reiki regular, then this could be something that you'd like to try!

It's that simple really!

What a session looks like

The logistics of the session are outlined below.

When you arrive, I'll leave you while you get changed (if you haven't already got your swimming costume etc on underneath your clothes.

We'll get into the water together, and work out how you'll feel most comfortable - floats under your head, under your knees etc.

I'll then give you Reiki for as lojg as you'd like me to (within reason!).

When you are ready for the session to finish, I'll ground you, and we'll both get out of the pool.

I'll then leave you in privacy to get changed and once you're ready, we can share feedback if you would like. However there is no expectation for this to happen if you'd rather just go home and shower!

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions that are relevant to Reiki in water sessions. If I've missed anything, please just shout and I'll answer any queries you have.

How is Reiki in water given?

Similarly to a 'normal' Reiki session, my hands will be on you at all times. Because of the more vulnerable naure of this session, I feel it's important that you know exactly where I am.

Do I need to be able to swim?

Although you may feel more comfortable if you can swim, there is absolutley no need to be able to. You will always be at a depth where  you can put your feet down on the floor.

Can I come if I have my period?

Yes! As long as you are comfortable and using appropriate sanitary products, of course you can!

Do you have a shower and toilet I can use?

I'm really sorry but I don't. So please bring a towel and clothes to change into once the session is over.

How many sessions will I need?

This is very much up to you. It may be that you experience it once and decide that 'normal' Reiki is more your thing. However, if you want more sessions, I trust that you'll know when you need the next one.

I have a question that isn't covered here.

Please just drop me a message, give me a call, reach out however works for you! I am very happy to answer any questions that you may have as your healing is important to me and I want to be able to offer a safe, consensual space for this to happen.
